About 299 Campbell Avenue — 299 Campbell Condos
The condos at 299 Campbell Avenue are located in the Dovercourt & Wallace Emerson-Junction neighbourhood in west end Toronto. Working in tandem with city councillors and local activists, the developer building these contemporary condos plans for them to sit on the current site of the Perth-Dupont Public Library. This will allow one of the smallest libraries in the city to grow into a 10,000 square foot facility. The end goal is to help attract more residential and commercial projects to the surrounding section of Dupont Street.
In the pre-construction phase as of 2017, renderings of 299 Campbell Avenue depict a façade of geometric, cubist-inspired shapes composed of glass, yellow stone and concrete. Developers Tas Design and Build are working with Teeple Architects on these condos, known for their futuristic and striking designs, as well as tasteful heritage restorations such as Scrivener Public Square.
In addition to the brand new library, the building’s ground floor will feature 270 metres of retail space for local businesses to fill. The building will also feature plenty of garage parking for its residents, as well as bicycle storage.
The Suites

The Neighbourhood

Residents will be living close to plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and best of all, the authentic Portuguese bakeries that the area is known for. And as the neighbourhood grows in prestige, investors might even plant some more local breweries, galleries and markets in the area. Additionally, there is a bank, pharmacy and grocery store just down the street on Dupont.
For nearby entertainment, residents can visit the Aluna Theatre for a theatrical performance, check out some of the contemporary art at the Angell Gallery, or try their hands at rock climbing at the Boulderz Climbing Centre.
